    Home is where the truck stops

    Been a long time! Came over to SEC from GTI a week after tow931 and have been doing quite well. This week was exceptional. After a reset at home (I moved to Lawrenceburg after seeing it would be a benefit), I left last Monday for central California and reloaded for trip back to Tennessee. Got parked at Roland OK just before midnight, and after running 3960 miles, I have 1.5 hours left on my 70 til Tuesday. Going to take a reset here and get load off (it's a drop) sometime Tuesday evening and see what happens from there. It's been a very good 6 months! For those that say long-haul trucking is dying, or that 250-400 mile loads are all that's out there, horse hockey! Maybe for the big companies but there will always be a need for long haul. New lanes are opening up for us, a new yard in Texas, and I'm happy! I'm getting alot more home time and don't have to worry about getting home on time (usually it's a day or 2 ahead and they don't call up as a rule). Enjoying the ride here at SEC.

    The day from hell ended not so bad. Thanks to me, because I'm awesome. Lol. Had an 8 am delivery at Sysco in Tolleson. Got there at 18:15 last night. Checked in at 07:15. I sat until 11 when they finally gave me a door, 2nd appt was for 11 am, lol. Finally out at 2 pm, and the second stop doesn't receive after 1 pm, and no open spots until Wednesday. Sweet talked my way into getting unloaded at 2:30 pm!! Sometimes charm goes a long way. I stopped at the J near Phoenix and fueled up, narrowly missing a Werner who parked IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LOT at the J.

    I got into Cali and made a decision I never thought I would ever make. I called TA and reserved a spot. I knew at 9:15 pm parking would be scarce. I got here, got my reserved spot, backed in and I'm making some dinner. My highlight of the day was just past the Banning scale where the lime green Prime truck with the purple ape on the side that almost caused a wreck was pulled over. Sometimes, justice DOES happen! I have to deliver in Mira Loma at Costco in the AM and them head to the 619. Have a great night. I'm going to revel in my small victories for the day.

    Scooter!!! Glad to hear from you again!!! Glad to see SEC is working so well for you and Tow, and now drvrtech and Air Breeze. It's awesome all of us old "Blues" found good homes....

    Just got my next load. Picks up in San Diego and delivers to McDonough, GA for Monday. Maybe I can try to get it off on Sunday, I doubt it though. Still a good run
