Congrats to educated, I work cement in the Elmendorf yard as well, been there going on 3 weeks...still havent been out to the field...have to get road tested and evaluated...I noticed that they prioritize more on the frac guys...after u finish neo, theyll have u in the pump shop for a couple weeks teaching you how to maintenance the pumps...they give u time to work on your cdl stuff such as study all day on their time...oh and after you finish all your PEC training at the college, ull have to do a rig up at a mock well site at the yard...from 430am to 330 all day in the sun...dont be late or on time, be there 30 min early. ..theyre picky about that...good luck and let me know if u have questions

Congrats!! Sounds like you're about to start a great career.

I'm hoping to get on with one of the big 3 once I graduate CDL school.

I've been reading about the low starting wages Halliburton pays but does anyone know how high and how long it takes to top out?

With a company as large as Halliburton I'm guessing it's pretty tough to top out. If you're halfway intelligent and have a good work ethic I'm guessing you would move up to different positions in the organization.

They have a competency program that allows u to move up and get raises..u go thru their halliburton university which is courses on a computer that u gotta complete.once complete and your able to demonstrate that your competent in the level ure going for, u get promoted. .u start as an operator asst 1, op asst 2, service operator 1, service operator 2 and so forth...its a bit complicated to explain more in detail but thats just a brief explanation....hope it made sense lol

Work ethic is big at halliburton. When u first start, they place u in different depts such as the pump shop, cement bulk plant, or others. While working there you get evaluated by the lead in that department. They have an evaluation form that needs to be filled out a total of 3 times..1 for every lead u get placed with or dept...3 negative evaluations and ure separated from the company
