Hey y'all hows everyone. I'm looking to get back into class A. i got my cdl back in late september of 2012 went to a local trucking school and had my heart set on flatbed. For some reason i ended up going to central refrigerated and had a horrible experience. anyways i finished training and then had my upgrade to my truck got my truck and flew home due to a family emergency. i haven't been driving class A since then so about november 2012. i live in houston tx and want to get back into it but drive regional as to OTR. i need some advice on some good companys willing to train in flatbeding. i have been looking into TMC, MAVERICK, AND MELTON. and some advice on how to get back in the routine of shifting downshifting is my enemy. i can't help but get frustrated and grind them when trying to come off the highway or what not. thanks for your help and hope to hear from y'all soon stay safe out there.
Need advice on what to do

I know Melton takes drivers right out of school. TMC will want a year of driving experience. Maverick I don't know about.
petey387 Thanks this. -
Maverick will take you as long as you have a Class A.
-
Even though I havent drove In 2 years?
-
Tmc hires student drivers. I've even seen a few guys get hired who have been away for some time, but they usually get treated as new drivers. Give brad or Gus a call and see what they can do
-
Yep, they have automatics and if you wanted to go to TMC they would require a refresher course at a driving school.
-
You still may want to try all of the companies you mentioned. But, I know Maverick will most likely take you without going back to school. All three are good though.
-
Hey do you drivr for tmc?? If so have you heard anything about the tx dedicated route??
-
I don't drive for TMC. I'm sure someone on here does though.

Ya im going to look around here again thank you
