Truckers should pay for roads

i'm all for it.


When it's OUR road, that WE paid for, then WE can make the rules, and price our services appropriately. Profit will be part of that. We won't worry about 11,14,70, because it's OUR road, that WE paid for.

 

So it's our fault huh? Just like how WE polute the air right? go figure, it's always someone that speaks that doesn't understand the trucking industry. It's not just trucks, it's cars too. We all contribute to road damage and we all contribute to polution.

 

you're right , everyone contributes to road damage.. and we all should pay our fair share.. it's the ones who run over-loaded that do the most damage... there's no excuse for it either. most trucks have air ride ... put a guage on your truck!!!!!! then you'll know how much you weigh.....

 

Someone is sorely misinformed. In point of fact, truckers DO pay for roads. In more ways than most of us care to even think about.

 

Road use tax,tax,registration etc.

 

O.K.
If we have to pay for the road that brings food to your community, we will just have to think about not using that road. and while some of us are avoiding your roads and NOT bringing you food others will charge more to make up for the TAX you unfairly have asked us to pay since you feel your roads are so unjustly damaged by us will be charging extra for our services, since with the escalating price of fuel we are just (if not more) as broke as you are.

 

I'd offer to pay if that meant cars weren't allowed on it anymore, seeing as they didn't pay for it. Plus safety would go way up.

 

We all pollute the road(cars and trucks), we use the same road meaning we should all be paying the same price!

 

Hey now I will agree with that.I would luv to see the 4 wheelers crying about paying road use taxs,higher exspences on everything they get to be equal to us.
