Giltner / Progressive logistics out of Jerome ID are liars and thieves. With 19 years of experience, I know a company going out of business when I see one. They will do anything to NOT pay you, have you work for free, and shave miles. They also do zero preventive maintenance unless the truck breaks down, and then they blame you for the breakdown. They have pulled out the apu's and installed bunk heaters they may or may not work. And no, they are no more interested in fixing bunk heaters then any other parts of the truck. Since you cant idle, you had better be familiar with surving in sub zero temps in the winter. So if you want to run for free in dangerous junk equiptment with no respect at all, go with Giltner.
Liars, fraud at giltner, progressive logistics, jerome, ID

What Company Are You Talking About? I worked there and they ran you hard, but the pay was way (Highest Ever) above normal and equipment was perfect, and the owners had plenty of money. Sounds like they hurt your feelings or something, to make up those lies about them...I just know that I made 78,000 in 2009 with them! My equipment was perfect and I was always treated fair and with respect...But then again, I did not whine. -
It sounds like you're a company plant. Because you're the only one out of all the Giltner drivers who say this.The_Great_Corn, giltner and HotH2o Thank this.

I've never worked for Giltner and I don't have an axe to grind, but all I hear anymore is how they cheat drivers, charge back for every assundry item imaginable (and then some), have terrible equipment...
I am hard pressed to think of another company in the recent past that have had so many driver complaints in relation to their size. -
kinda hard to give much weight to bigjims post since his experience was 5 years ago that is almost ancient history
-
$78K huh? I stayed out a full year and ran as hard as legally possible and barely cleared $50K. No disrespect, but you're eather full of crap or don't know what the hell you're talking about...
-
the post is over a year old
-
Yeah and that was the year I stayed out before moving to AK.

$78k? Then how come so many drivers on this site have filed complaints about giltner? And why would a company who paid $78k and treated their driver so good has to advertise 24/7 on the back of all their trailers for new drivers unless they have very high turnover? And why did you quit if you made so much and were treated so good? I can't say what they paid in 2009, but I recently quit giltner and as company driver, you will be lucky to make half that. Until you quit, that is. When you quit, giltner will steal your final pay. They constantly make you pay TCH checks for up to $500.00/week. Shippers, receivers, and many lumper companies are pretty big companies. Giltner could just as easy pay these companies directly, instead of taking it out of the driver pay.

He also just joined with the obvious intention to discredit the many drivers who say otherwise. Save it for the mentally challenged.
