I don't like it because there is rarely a decent rate coming back to the great lakes, and rates going down there have been a joke lately, as well. Once you're down there, the only money is in that region, and it isn't as good as what I could be making at home.

Hey rugerfan funny you mention that I just came across system yesterday and can't find much negative things about them. I'm going to call them Tuesday and see what I have to do to get on with them seeing is that I never drove flat before and haven't been class A in almost 2 years, but we'll see

For you flatbedders who worry about getting stuck in South Texas, Swift still has the deal with Chrysler to expedite delivery of their Sprinter type vans built in Mexico to Chrysler dealers all over the country from the terminal on Carriers in Laredo. The 2015 models will be flooding in soon. They are less than 9k loads with 4 tire straps per. Swift OnRoad arranges the unloading with a rollback tow truck at final. I'm not sure what the rate is because we all lie like dogs about what we're getting paid but it might be worth having your broker make some calls. Swift in Phoenix 800-800-2200. Yes I'm leased to Swift, no, I'm not employed by Swift.

I enjoy driving in Texas because its home and we are trucker friendly but I will say my fellow Texans suck at merging from an on ramp or driving around trucks in general.
