I have logged 4119 legal on elog. People have this false impression that elog is going to "Hurt" their mileage. I have found, if you manage your time well on it, it actually "increases" your productivity. If you spend a lot of time messing around in truckstops, then yes, it will be a nightmare to you. I drove a 70 mph truck which averaged 63 mph (according to gps). I didn't average that many miles every week but I have achieved that several times and I didn't have a lot of drop and hook, most of mine was live.
I agree there are a lot of factors that come into play to determine your mileage on elogs but I have never produced a weeks worth of elogs where I haven't achieved at least 2900 miles in a week, unless I chose to take some extra time off (which I didn't do much). You cant do it sitting in truckstops though, you have to keep that left door closed.

"Manage your time well" is code for illegally telling the computer that you are "off duty" while you are doing "on duty" activities, thereby "saving" your hours for line 3. Also includes speeding in your governed truck through work zones, school zones, and towns which have speed limits lower than your truck is governed at since line 3 cannot be fudged.
In other words, if you're here trying to tell me that you ran 4000+ miles in a week, averaging 63 mph for all of your time behind the wheel that week, then I say you are full of excrement. -
At least I'm not the only one calling B.S.6 Speed Thanks this.

When going south I must pass through 4 small towns before hitting interstate.(about 63 miles) With the posted speed limit 65 between these towns I will run 70 with no worries of getting pulled over for speeding. Not a day goes by that I don't go by these 63 mph robots only to have them blow back by me as they run 50 through town in the 35 zone.loose_leafs and shredfit1 Thank this.

In order to coming close too accomplishing this feat, these trucks must magically hit top speed the very second driver goes on line 3.
They also must conveinently sprout wings and soar over traffic in all major cities they must encounter daily.shredfit1 Thanks this. -
This, the problem paying drivers mileage...
"Drove a million miles last week, all legal, too."
"Just keep that left door shut."
Anyone guess the next verse??6 Speed Thanks this. -
You said it! AND these douche bags miraculously tout that they do better than 7.1 mpg on average... and ALWAYS get the monthly fuel bonus.
