Short term issue. I worked on 8 hours a day plus call 24/7 for nearly two years and the cumulative effect started to catch up to me after about a year and a half. If I had to do that seasonally, it wouldn't be so bad, but if that became the norm again it would be awful. But that's just my opinion.

That comes with the job. If you were not happy with the outfit, change it. Just like cops have higher risk of being shot vs mcdonalds employee. It comes with the territory. Still, every year New hours of services are proven to be the waste of time and effort, when compared to the older HOS Rules. Now, the Ferrous is out, may be it will get better. -

I know the feeling, I worked 7 days per week for one year, then 5-6 days 12-14 hrs per day. I worked it, and I am sure any one who wants to get ahead worked it. There is no free lunch. You pay the price for the life that you want. One way or another. You ask almost any business owner and they will tell you that they will work more time, given the opportunity. You ask any employee and most of them will tell you that they do not want to work long hours or non stop.
