It's been a slow week. We had a miscommunication and arrived at a receiver a day early and our back haul wasn't ready until late the next day. On top of that our Qualcomm went stupid. Finally got our multistop backhaul and I'm sitting in the terminal waiting on the shop to get the truck ready to go. So far I've seen times where the only complaint was only stopping when we needed fuel, and then the complaint this week was I'm tired of being stopped. Hopefully we get to head out for something today, even if it's just a in state run.Last edited: Sep 5, 2014

Sitting in NJ now. Made it up here for a final out bound run this week. In about an hour I go get loaded with my backhaul and head back toward home.

Don't worry you will have plenty of those once you go solo. It will be late Thursday evening about 7 PM, headed to the yard, think you're going to go home and have a long weekend. That's when the QUALCOMM message will come in and ask if you will run a load from International Paper to Sanford North Carolina.

That won't bother me so much if they'll approve my parking area. Otherwise it'll annoy me if it's am every week thing.

Some of those loads really aren't too bad. It just gets aggravatin doing a local or regional drivers job sometimes, especially if It was a live unload is involved, or if it risks going to Wilson to pick up beer bottles

Thanks for the updates. It's always good to know how things are going for you and whats happening out there. Going to Oceanspray maybe sounds like. Lots of inbound and outbound freight from NJ usually. Stay safe out there.

Sounds like you've pulled load before lol.

I'll try to keep up to date here. Sometimes that's not so easy, but I'll manage. I'm heading towards the terminal with the exact load Joey mentioned. Then I'm getting in my Crown Vic, going to get something to eat and going home. My only complaint about this week is 2400 miles due to the miscommunication on our first outbound run and the Qualcomm. I've passed a driveway, I've screwed up the clock once and my goal next week is to keep moving and make less mistakes.

Enjoy your home time this weekend. The driveway and the other stuff can happen to anyone. There will be weeks that 1800 miles will be all you get, there is both bad and good in trucking as you already know. Thanks for your updates, it's interesting to follow. Sometimes ( not often ) I miss being out there a little bit lol. Over four decades was enough for me.
