Support Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products. (part two)

Mark, I was asking you last week about my TND720 with the freezing up screen. I know your busy, but I now have a TND730 with Traffic Anywhere. The screen isn't freezing up on this unit but I do get a low memory warning several times a day. A restart seems to temporarily fix it. I was hoping you could tell me how to allocate some storage space to memory. I am computer savvy.

ok mark, I went ahead and bought the tnd 730, and so far I am liking it allot better then my 510 but here are a couple of things that I would like to ask you about the 730.

1) in the bottom right hand corner there is a clock, now I have tried and I have tried and I would really like it to just read eastern time, as that is where my home office is. Is there a way just to make that clock eastern time?

2) I have a chromebook that I bought about a month ago, I bought it for ease of use and the quickness, and so far it works great except..... I just tried to plug my tnd 730 into it and cannot get the tnd 730 to run the start up program to register it. (I was kinda hoping it would work but it doesnt, not really worried as I have my laptop with me and can fire it up and plug the tnd 730 into it.) but I am trying to get away from the laptop and desktop computers. Is there a way I can do updates? or will rand mcnally put an app out in google play in order for those of us who would like to just use a chromebook to do updates, etc... I see that there is the rand mcnally 100 in google play but didn't think it would work with the 730 so didnt try it just to see.

I understand that it's a web based program, I guess what I am asking is if there is an app in the google play store for the 100? Couldn't an app be made for the tnd gps's.

Anyways, thxs for your time, maybe one day rand will come out with an app that can be used through the play store.

 

With this USB hub I have no trouble charging the 520, phone, and now I have the tablet plugged in. Seems to be handling it all just fine.
