I got my CDL in 2008, and did my obligatory year OTR. But in your case with a newborn it makes perfect sense to be home more. Time goes by way too fast!

I got mine in 2009, after I got out of the Marine Corps. It was either being a teacher, or truck driver. Teaching didn't pay good at all, so my decision was made. My retirement pension is really good, but I don't want to live solely on that. By the time I retired, I was commissioned. A little over 3,800 per month isn't bad for a pension, and I am grateful, because I know I earned it.wulfman75 Thanks this. -

PATS are winning against the Dolphins. Sorry Paul. We're having BBQ brisquet, Brats, Steaks, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and a Full Rack of Ribs, and a lot more. Come on over and join us, I-65 exit 53. Go approximately 8 miles East on Hwy 90. You can't miss it. Even signs out posted to the tailgate. No alcohol involved, since there are children present.
