There is six in Houston and we can get into four. Most of them have a number listed or say what can and cant fit. I have been using the satellite view on my phone when I look up the address to make sure.

If you dont want a new truck study the dual fuel and the epa out of usable service life. You can take all that crap off with approved systems. http://www.epa.gov/otaq/consumer/fuels/altfuels/altfuels.htm

From what I have learned the biggest safety issues is could be if the trucks are stored indoors with a leak. Shops are required to have detectors on the roof and floor. CNG will rise and lng will fall to the ground until it dissipates into cng then rises to the ceiling to the shop heaters or light fixtures.

A decent slow flow fueling system for 5 trucks is 75,000.00. Lots of large fleets are installing there own fueling pumps. It keeps drivers out of the truck stops and the truck is parked for loading or maintenance. Anheuser Bush just bought 66. My guess there is about 150-200 in Houston now.

Not sure if anyone has a clue on what it will do to the market value on the fuel itself. Law of supply and demand usually applies. We like the fuel cost. Our main reason was our aging fleet and reliability of a new tractor.

IMG_20140907_140932_108.jpg The app I'm using sucks. CNGprices.com has a much better updated map. It has to be accessed by clicking view full site while on mobile version. My app shows seven in Houston, there is 17. It shows none in San Antonio TX there is one. This is a big help.

Right now, the financials make the NG trucks a little on the heavy side to own, their ROI seems to be in the 4 to 5 year range, where diesels are 2 to 3 year.

That is exactly why foreign counties are adopting standards set by the United states. He was hauling natural gas not using it for fuel.

Here is the article for that picture. It was 22 dead and 111 injured. People standing around to watch.

What kind of engine braking does it have? Does it use a compression release or an exhaust brake? How do you like the disc brakes compared to drums?

They come with a compression brake.
I'm not sure about the disc brakes yet. They apply very smooth and don't grab in the morning. There is a 500lbs weight savings for the truck itself. Much easier to work on given we can find parts. They don't seem to get as hot or hold heat. Our trailer are drum. I'm don't know how the two are going to work together.

if u operate CNG truck the most dangerouse thing is refueling. Tanks are under high pressure. Ufter refueling gas go a bit cooler and pressure drops. When U drive truck pressure go down.

That's why tank annual inspection is requered.

CNG trucks are operaten in Ukraine for many years, in USA CNG trucks appeared when USA CNG companies get more gas than in Russia.
