Me Too.
Its all about attitude I believe. Being kind to a Stressed FM goes a long way. Don't have to brown nose or be a yes man. Just have a little empathy and don't make your FM job any harder then it has to be. Truck driving is a really hard job, its very mentally stressful. Its impossible to get everything you want every day. Pay goes up and down. You don't always get home on time. Customers make you wait, traffic and weather is bad. The list goes on and on. I don't think those things make a bad company. I feel if you do your best as a driver and be reasonable to get along with and don't let the FM walk all over you it'll be fine. If not then I can quit. I'm not a slave. I can leave anytime I want to. I will not tolerate being yelled at, cursed at, or belittled, and being out and out lied to like I am stupid really makes me mad. I'll quit on the spot if I get any of that kind of treatment. The other stuff is part of the job to a certain extent.TrooperCat and gonejpn Thank this. -
There might be a buyout soon says Swift.

Tell Brian W, recruiter at Koch that Joe at Lessors says hello. Been a while since I seen his ugly mug.

You do get your own room Like I said in my post orientation and evreything as promised was exactly as they said but when I got on the raod the first time it was 7 weeks before I got home worked thanksgiving xmas and new years got home on the 3rd of Jan.from Nov.17 for 3 days which I really didn't mind but then I said I wanna be home for valitine day since im married got home on the 16th I was pissed so out of 15 weeks I was home for 3 days then they try and bully you into cutting your home time short by then I had already started looking was home for 4 days then and said I wanna be home in 4 week they got me home late again got a new DM 3 days before I got home but the damage was done I had interviews set up and gave them my two week notice while at home. My new DM Chris Peterson was GREAT and took care of everything for me but the Damage was done before he came along. My first one Kris never returned calls diidnt pay me for unloading basicly just ignored me when ever I requested anything left me sitting for days in truck stops. Good luck if you get a good dm you can make some decent bucks not a bad company basicly I was very happy and content till valintine day then I was just digusted and when he ignored my pay request for unloading 60 dishwashers I was done I'm not gonna work for nothing. Good luck .Tom.
One last note took thier truck back to minneapolis could've just left it in Philly but I did the right thing and took it back I heard they give you money for bus ticket home they gave nothing I paid for my flight home with no help from them.Last edited: May 25, 2014
4mer trucker Thanks this. -
Some of your post make it sound like the place has changed for the worst since I was there. They used to get me home like clockwork and we ran pretty steady.
Lots of preloaded Best Buy trailers. -
It's really not that bad but bring a sleeping bag

If that is true....that is NOT the way I'd like to start out. I can make my own freaking peanut butter sandwiches----I want REAL food (or the equivalence of real food). Makes them sound like a bunch of cheap skates if they are bunking 3 to a room and feeding them PB&J sandwiches.

U get flown 2 orientation get your own room get feed breakfast and lunch...this is a very decent mid size company. ..just make sure you can get on any of the dedicated accounts...the general OTR fleet is where you'll experience most headaches. ..been here 18 months and iam very content
