His KW must be paid off... you think 1.05 permile is good money and I think 4.50 per mile is good money...see the difference.

if you know what your operating costs are , add 20 % to that
Anything less you are not going to be doing well at all FYI -
PR Lady. There aren't enough hours in the day for you to make a difference. Also, I have too many good brokers I deal with to play the hit and miss game with TQL and mostly miss. These types of brokers that think they are too smart for us stupid truck drivers are wasting their time with me.rollin coal Thanks this. -
I have since done a load with them. They solicited my truck. It paid really well. I demanded what the rate would be and they paid up. Didn't make any friends. And still thinking it would cancel before iI ever got to the shipper but whattaya know it didn't.
double yellow Thanks this. -
ummmm....what rate does it have to pay for you to label it "really well"....$7,9,12/mile????

It was $1,450 on 281 loaded miles. Deadhead 80 miles. One pick, one drop, no touch. 12,000 lbs. It was fair for last minute hurry up. Their initial offer was $1,100 and I came back with my take it or leave counter. Most times they leave it but like anyone else they will when they gotta, 10-4?

So far, when i try for a decent bump in a rate, its passed on.
Like yesterday...akron , oh market looks strong for freight.
Clicked on a canton to , what i thought was Jax fl...but was jax,tx.$2400. 1270ish miles.
Jax fl worked at that rate ... my tires are being recapped there.
Open the link on its, recognized my mistake, and moved on , looking for a fit.
Well, minutes later, i get a call from the broker on the tx load. (They can see!)he laments he's having trouble booking atruck. ####-chat backnforth. his birthday, my fl desires, but if he can meet me at $2850, i'd commit. Fail.
Found a $3500 to naples. Pays my dh back to jax. -
Much easier on 400 miles or less loads. Still get rejected plenty though unless it's hot, hot then you'll book good stuff before lunch 9 or 10am. I always go for the shorter hauls then only pick off longer hauls when the money is comparable. Work the same areas and always be aggressive to keep it from being a shot in the dark.

I stay away from TQL and always will.
Due to telling me the weight was 44k.
But once my trucker got to the scale it was 48k.
Paperwork said 44k. -
Landstar is very customer friendly, besides one dude that I asked for $50 more on the rate and he said "Ask me something again and I will hang up on you" lol
