I am interested in a C-16 with 800Hp from Great Lakes Diesel in Lackawanna, NY. I am trying to see if anybody has had any dealings with them. Good or Bad? Thanks in advance...
Has anybody used Great Lakes Diesel????

550HpW900L, it want let me PM cause I have not posted 50 comments. Is there any other way I could get some info from you. I have a 07 twin turbo 625HP C-15 now with Pittsburg Power on it. But it is smoking so bad out the the blow by tube it looks like it is on fire. And it has already burnt one turbo up. CAT has been warranting everthing up to this point but since they cannot figure out the blow by they have told me my warranty is void to the Pitt Power...so I am up a creek. I am looking for a new single turbo C-16 with lots power and somebody to put it in.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Let me know what U find out.Mine has excessive blowby as well.

I have a 05 MXS, they have changed the liner seals already, but not much difference, they told me if I can still see the hood over the blowby I have a good one
Why did you leave your powerbox on when you took it in for warranty? I always took mine off, takes about 15 minutes. I got rid of the box and now the 625 ecm. Like it better than the box

had a lot of blowby on mine on long hard pulls turbo shaft seals were leaking boost into crankcase

All Acerts have high blow by due to the high compression and high boost levels, the secondary breather kit helps a lot but Cat wont fit it under warranty, you have to pay for it.

I gotta diagree. If you complain enough about it, they will eat the cost. I got sick of my truck wash being ruined after a day or so of running, so I complained big time to the service managers. After they seen how clean my truck is kept and all the oil that was thrown onto my steps and tanks they agreed to foot the bill.
