Hey Jarhead was that your rig I seen southbound from 94 going past midlink yesterday the 16th, in Kazoo? If so you definitely stick out hauling that big box of koolaid. Or maybe someone else likes your color combo!

It's got 750 on miles , Fass System , ECM Tune , PP Exhaust , Fleet 1 air , Scan gauge , Fridge , Thermo King APU with espar heater , wheel covers , vented flaps , 65% on rubber virgin tires , centri matitacs all the way around , tire pressure monitor system , projection led head lights .. Good brakes and drums , new shocks , 1yr old clutch ,

ive be saw them bringing 42,000 without the APU and half the stuff I got on here .

ECM shows 7.96 all miles , nothing wrong with her at all .

Just kinda testing the waters of a upgrade

If someone was serious about buying her , I'd do it through PM but I'll tell you it would take a decent offer cause if I trade her in ... I'm taking things off like the APU , Lights , Fass , etc and selling them after market ...

Oh , it also has DUAL PTO , and a small sidebox . Air switches on the dash and a new KW Bluetooth stereo with mic .

    hub reading today is 742,113

Now so I'm clear on the truck selling thing ... I'm not selling her tomorrow or next week . I have to order a truck so it could be January before I let her go . End of year I need to keep her till December anyway .In 2012 when I bought her I had the dealer put in the following brand new New Flooring - rubber mat through out New steering wheel. ( I don't like people's old nasty stuff and it showed age . New drums New brakes Load gauge on dash - Dealer install

From what I have seen when business decisions are made based on tax write offs usually the business owner fails unless they are running heavy on available capital. While tax implications are an important part of the equation, in the end its just PART of the equation.

I've seen it happen to truckers and farmers that I know, I have heard of contractors (friends of friends, for what that's worth), as well. The mistake started when they saw how much they could write off on new equipment by depreciating it over 3 yrs instead of using the actual depreciation and the numbers "looked like it made sense", but in the end they lost their ### when year 4 or 5 came around.

However...considering the possibility of more emission regulations coming down, (hard not to get on a epa rant whenever that subject comes up), the mileage on your engine, the $$$ you are being offered for it, it may be the perfect time for an upgrade.

Just thought I would throw another perspective your way cause I've seen too many guys let their accountant destroy their business...cause it looked good on paper when a tax guy did the math.

BTW, I have enjoyed reading your threads, and I hope to learn a lot more from you as my "choice" adventure begins soon.

With the truck in demand right now it's basically a glider kit for today's small fleet or start out operator
these trucks are bringing top money right now .. But with trading or selling I give up allot of freedoms I have now .. Such as home time and not having to worry about making a ton of money ...

    I'm torn still
