Sooo, my dm called and asked how long it would take me to get to phoenix for a load. I told her 1 hour and she said get there ASAP and I'll have you dispatched when you're in phoenix. I left home and got to phoenix. No dispatch. Sent in a message saying I was in phoenix and 30 min later I got pp picking up tomorrow at noon.....

Soooo, I'm back at home. I'll be asking for compensation for it tomorrow.

I delivered stuff at Western extrusions. Be ###### if I was sitting there all night and this was close.

1300 miles deliver friday...
so taking my time. got a reset at laredo so hope they use it when giving my weekend load

You're taking frame rails to freighliner! I delivered about an hour early there with no problem. Another melton was about 3 hours early.

 

Sitting at the shipper in Laredo for a live load for 5+ hours. Still have to load and tarp. 14 is counting down and was up at regular time. Whine, whine. Just for a 741 load. At least this is the exception rather than the rule.

 

Ta east in okc, got about 130 miles make 1st drop then 2nd is 70 miles from but can't deliver til Friday. Told when I called they leave at 3 and I won't make that having 3 tarps to take off and put back on.

 

Today is my first official day on the road having just finished the 8 day orientation class. I rented a car and drove from tulsa to masury ohio terminal last night to meet with trainer. They paired me with Nathan amd we went to pick up first load of steel pipes heading to Iowa.
At the shipper they were having a driver appreciation day and I won a tv for the truck. We loaded and drove just shy of Chicago. Tomorrow we'll arrive at destination a day early.
Trainer is great guy and im enjoying it. Great first day!
