Anybody know about swift's flatbed division? do they have good training on flats and what kind of equiptment do they run? How often do you tarp and what's the average length of haul?

I searched and searched but couldn't find anything, I've actually never even seen a swift pulling a flat:biggrin_2556:
Oh and I know swift is a crappy company and all that but they will hire be with no experiance:biggrin_255: I just got my cdl on my own without school so I won't have to sign a contract....figure I will work there a few month's and go to tmc or maverick.

    Thanks for the help!

Don't know about in OK, but from the Albuquerque terminal they are running several loads of drywall per week to Phoenix. They have three trucks in a team and then deadhead them back (two stacked on the third) to Albuquerque for the next load.

See them around the NW once in awhile, always with tarped loads. I spect that they are on dedicated runs like JB Hunt. Many years ago before the white man first came to this land Swift was an O/O flatbed company.

Just curious, why not go with TMC or Maverick right from the git go? I can't speak for TMC, but Maverick hires new grads, and the training is excellent.

I've seen swift flats around. And with the rest of the company they aren't a very professional looking division if you ask me. But then I'm looking at them from the standpoint of a O/O's eye to details.

If your school was accredited most should hire you.

Start calling the company themselves this morning!

I could have been more clear. I meant call TMC, Mav etc themselves and ask them.
