5 miles/hr. x 10 hrs. = 50 miles/day x 6 days = 300 miles @ .35 cents/mile = $105.00/week.
I'll wave while I'm passing you.

My 63 mph was a mistake; parts of the 210 have a steady downhill grade.
You look down at the speedo and realize that the speed crept up. A mistake that I rarely make and no reason for Compliance to bust my balls.
This is a given: I really really really really don't want a speeding ticket! -
This past week I was driving through the canyon near Shasta on my way to L A. I see in my mirror one of our company trucks just passing everyone in the left lane. Weaving in and out of traffic. He blows by me. Several hours later here he comes again, passing, weaving in and out of traffic. An hour later I pass him where he is parked at a rest area. I stop for the evening a little ways down the road. In the morning I take off early and pull in fuel at Lost Hills. Who is there in the fuel island? Same driver.
He wants to know where I'm going. I tell him Irwindale to drop and hook. I ask where he's going and he says Anaheim for a 1000 appointment. So, who do you think made it back out of there and up north first? 😃 -
If you honestly think you are going to be able to average 65 mph all day over a course of a week, I have some ocean front property in Arizona I could sell for cheap.
-
Nope, just 5 MPH faster than you.

Well I'm not OTR anymore got myself a local position out of Lathrop. Happy man right here.

i just applied for MAy after reading this post.
i have a few questions
1) i didn't see if they give you a physical at orientation. do they except the one you already have?
2) what terminals do the do orientation at (I'm in las vegas )
3) do they have a 2 weeks out 2 days home schedule for western 11
$) what exactly is the 90/90 thing
This sounds like a great company to start with and possibly stay with until you can find local work -
(2.) They do the orientation at the closest terminal. (For you, it would be Phoenix, I'm betting, though bussing you to Brooks is not out of the question) Call and ask one of those nice Ladies in Recruiting.
(3.) Yes. That's what I do.
(4.) After first soloing out, you'll be unbelievably slow. If you had to depend upon your miles for income, you would starve. Knowing this, they offer an optional flat rate guarantee of $90.00 a day for the first 90 days. That way, you know you can count on a regular (albeit small) paycheck. It's optional, but most do it. You can decide later if that is for you.ryanro77 Thanks this. -
thank you for the quick response!!!
i would hope for PHX as that would be much shorter on the bus.
i do have one other question. is there a May drop yard in Las vegas? -
Not that I know of, but to be honest, there's a lot of things that I don't know.
ryanro77 Thanks this.
