Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

This clarified the thread for me.... -
It used to be that the dollar was as good as gold around the world, like a gold Roman coin, but that's not generally something a USAian trucker would know.
Now that we've got globalism going strong because nobody could resist aspirational voting for rich people into high office because someday they'll be rich too, we are all reaping the benefits of the decline and race to economic homogeniety.
Truckers in Germany work 48 hours a week and average 1,200 Euros per month. That's just under 400 bucks a week. Of course that's after steep, steep taxes, but it's still not much. If they worked 70 hours -- the equivalent of two jobs, like us -- their pay would be about the same as truckers here. Think on that for a minute.
The Europeans have always done quality of life better than Americans. Maybe we could learn something from them. -

It's telling that increasingly US dollars aren't being accepted. -
What's your source for that?Lepton1 Thanks this. -

I am reading "race to the bottom" and how the people are "saying enough is enough". Trust me when I say some of you are getting exactly what your screaming talking heads on the radio wanted, what you thought you wanted, and when faced with reality, turns out, you really didn't want it!!!! Anything less would be socialism, right??? But I believe in hard work and earning everything you get. And having to start from somewhere. You get what you want at the beginning, it makes you complacent and lazy. Hell, why try harder? The facts are the facts. Trucking doesn't require a college education, and honestly if you talk to some of these people, a high school education isn't required either. If you want to earn more, you have to work harder. You have to put the time in and make the right moves in other to make the money you want. Just handing you .50 a mile and $20 some dollars to start isn't smart and it isn't going to happen. Work hard. Earn your spot. And by the way, I'm called a socialist all the time, and those guys who've called me that are also pissed at the money I make.
