    Ahhh...gotcha.

You do understand though that your are an anomaly.

2 months of company driving and then diving into owner operator is a recipe for disaster. Its awesome that it is working out for you but for 99% of the people out there that is way too fast to be thrown into the mosh pit of running a truck under your own authority.

It is so easy to make money in this business.....the problem though is that its even easier to spend and lose it.

    Did I miss something?
I've read every post in this thread and I couldn't find where
Minia claimed bein' an Owner Operator.
No mention of having authority either.
I'm thinkin' Minia is probably an I/C, (Independent Contractor)
or L/O (Lease Operator) rather than an O/O.

    How 'bout it Minia?
    I/C, L/O or O/O?
    :dontknow:

Paid $1200 for an 8 week CDL program at DCCC in Mocksville, NC. Very impressive equipment at these community colleges too. Our school had 13 power units including 1 donated from Old Dominion, 4 donated from Schneider, 1 Pete from Hardy Bros, a couple daycabs and 4 Volvo's purchased by the school. All had 10 speeds. Class sizes were only 24, so we got a ton of driving time.

i think tuition at my local CC was roughly 1500.00 for 2 month program. With grants, i paid a whopping $6.00 out of pocket,LOL. However, I did have to pay for my text book and bag of goodies( atlas, log book, ect.) that you get from the book store, roughly $60.00. Also, YOU have to pay for AP, drug screen and physical. I think total out of pocket cost was roughly $300.00 to go through school and get CDL! Not shabby at all !!

Yes there are programs you can pay there a small amount of money. I am a teacher at one, and I also teat people on the side, I'm independent with my third party testers license. If you walk into the school I work at and say the right things, you can get tested for as little as 300 bucks, BUT you have to say the right things. If you need to contact me please feel free to,

    I read that too.
What I didn't read was Minia tellin' us that he's an Owner/Operator or runnin' under his own authority
