Seetya why are you asking for advice from someone that's been trucking for a couple weeks and isn't even at the level you are?
If your load confirmation says exclusive use, then no you aren't supposed to load anything else. If you get caught violating the contract, the broker will penalize you. You have to know when it's viable to do so which will come with experience.
what are the top 3 load boards?

I understand, that's why I asked.
I am seeking advice from anyone who might be willing to share. And if you are kind enough to share with me some hard lessons you have learnt over the years. I appreciate it. I will take in what you say then process it, keep some and refuse some. I will never take any of this forum stuff personal, so please tell me more of what i could use to help sharpen and streamline my operation. I didn't know the broker could penalize me! so hey, I learned something else. I am ALL EARS NO ATTITUDE here. Tell me more -
If you violate the terms of the confirmation ie delivery time or day, exclusive use, etc then the terms can and probably will be renegotiated, seldom in your favor. If you miss a crane appointment, you can be liable for the charges for them to come back out. All sorts of good stuff like that. I haul a lot of exclusive use, but I make them pay for that feature.
As far as hotshoting with a pickup, I don't have experience with that as I run a big truck. It's a dog eat dog segment of trucking. -
How can these guys advise on a topic not experienced with. I have zero restrictions on a reload other than notifying dispatch.

Much appreciated @fortycal
I will keep on keeping on until I get to pick and choose levels. I really never did like dog meat so dog eat dog is not my thing. I stay in right lane on cruise ctrl watching the big dogs fly by.Lite bug Thanks this. -
I'm experienced with the load boards and I also do LTL sometimes. What hurt your feelings I guess was when I wished you the best on those reloads because there really isn't a panacea of hotshot or LTL freight on the loadboards. You'll be lucky if you ever book anything at any rate. Especially when you're looking to go back somewhere so specific like what you described. You're competing with big trucks for the same partials and most of them can/will do it for much cheaper than you when that stuff pops up. Never hurts to try that's for sure. maybe it'd be worth $30 monthly subscription who really knows. Sometimes you have to spend a little money to figure what works and what doesn't. So go get a few subscriptions and try the free ones to see what works best. And don't take this stuff so personal. Maybe even go back and read a few years worth of threads in this subsection of the forum and see what others say about running hotshot off loadboards.

Fire to the flame lol hahahahahahahahahahahaha take that!
Point me in the right direction, or was that for me too. I didn't say nothing. I rather not sign up for all the load boards -
The topic is load boards and I've paid for all but central as my insurance didn't cover autos. This thread was originally in the newb section before it was moved. I have no experience in limiting myself to the lightweight hotshot freight, but I move a lot of freight that could go on a hotshot, so I am your competition. I LOVE putting 3-4 LTL's on my step deck. You really don't know how this works and your attitude isn't going to help you.

Oh yeah I've got s hotshot load on now. 3,000 pounds 35'. It was listed on the board at 20,000 pounds because the agent dislikes hotshots.

OMG lol you guys up here are something else. Hilarious " I got hot shot loads right now" lol
