Yoda, and here I thought you were hauling for the place with the Stainless Steel Chicken in front !!!...

I notice that the sign down by Coillers now says "P.A.C" did Robert change names, or what...

I miss going to that mule farm and getting trailers which fall over with computer printers in them...

Lol I wish that chicken was in my front yard..LOL

Hey you mean they don't let trailers tip over after dropping them any more?

I don't know what the P A C is all about, last time I talked to John they were still running under American West ( which I refuse to do). I have taken our two trucks and trailers up to a company in Fairfield Ohio that leases us authority, and I find all my loads using a private booking agent along with about 60 other ex burnham,N A, and allied drivers... These people are so go to us that I doubt I would ever change unless they go out of business.

Robert is good people, maybe if after the chapter 11 he goes back out on his own, one day... you never know..

I live in the SF Bay Area and a friend of mine works as a dispatcher in Tracy. From what he tells me the port in Oakland and Stockton is shut down and every port from Long Beach to Seattle is due to close.

His drivers are all on strike, except a select few who have families to feed. One driver was beaten in Lathrop the other night and one threatened last night. Rumor is that a driver was killed in Oakland but I've yet to find any info. It's lookin ugly for darn sure.

If anyone has any other info I'd appreciate it.

Also PLEASE take care and be safe!

    Just searched the news wires...

came up with this from the Oakland tribune
    http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/ci_9176969

Contents below in response to warning and editing of post removing contact information of quoted author.

The names email addresses and contact information provided by the newspapers in their articles was it seems deemed inappropriate to post here. I just read the WARNING I received for posting this information which the newspaper would have considered appropriate attribution information.

I have noticed several articles posted here without attribution of the source and author in clear violation of all norms and copyright laws.

I did what is normal, right and just in giving this information which the author expects when his articles are posted elsewhere for discussion.

If they remove me from this forum... over attribution and notification of authors who have all intellectual right to their own work...so be it.

Meanwhile because those attributions were removed I am forced by common decency to remove the quoted parts of this post.

[quote=yoda;423189 My truck once said "Culverhouse Inc" ( I sometimes wish it still did) on the side... Robert Culverhouse is no longer a Burnham Van Lines Agent.. ( no more Burnham)

A fellow I know was once leased to Burnham. He is with an Atlas agent out of Chicago now. Have some pictures at the house of when my Dad and Grandpa ran for Greyhound. Aww the good old days.
