Tmc is strict. Can't have no dirt on floorboards when pull into terminal (get wrote up and your hand slapped). God forbid if you walk on the grass. Or spit on the ground. (Heard last two will get you fired)

Jordan hires new drivers and starting pay is .43cpm with .05cpm performance bonus and .02cpm safety bonus. With a 1500 sign on bonus, as for new drivers you do a week orientation they teach you A LOT about securment and then you go out with a trainer for I think a few weeksmor until you and your trainer are comfortable with your ability to safely perform your job. And you also get home every weekend and all major holidays and we get great miles they have plenty of work provided that you want to work.

I've never been written up or fired for either. I don't walk on the grass cause I have been through all the military training. The dirt in the floor boards...Not true. They want it extra clean, but if you don't get it to their liking, they just dock 5 points from your monthly certification. It's not every time you're in there. Just when you get your truck worked on. I've never had an issue with it.

I went through TMC's orientation , it was not bootcamp. Long training days sure , and yes stay off the grass. Also they at least feed you two meals a day unlike paschal. I got bounced at the end of orientation and still have nothing bad to say about them as people at least they got me home on their dime ( thank god ) from their terminal. The distance to their terminal is one of the main reasons I dont want to go back even though they called me to come back. Yes the trucks are nice.

I still want to ask , WHY FLATBED's ? That question to everyone, dont you have to spend a good hour more a day working secure unsecure LC and then maybe even tarp. You can get the same cpm from some VAN companies that also give you regional runs like TA and averitt
I dont mean to sound critical but to be educated by those who are and want to be flatbedders.
Yes i do see the allure of the fun loads and cheats you can beat the occasional mugger down with but otherwise......?

Oh and I remember one of the guys in school wanting to work with TMC bc of the percentage on loads such as John deere.....while I was at the terminal I talked to one of the old timers hauling a John deere, he told me he was on salary........

So they cut you loose after training, and then called you back again?

I don't understand - why would they do that?
