RPM Finishes in Hudson, NC.

Double drop and hook, with no flat areas in sight to drop once you pull from the dock unless you want to back around a building. Sliding tandems on a 6% slope is a #####!. I knew I was over on the tandems leaving but fouldn't overcome the physics to get them further back.

Add to it the trailer I picked had been used in a demolition derby and has a jacked up dot bumper as icing on the cake.

At least this thing gets me home.

The upside is that Pedro's is just down the road. And although the food pretty well sucks, it is over priced too (so you got that going for you).....

 

Had a "live load" from Reckitt Bechkiser 95344, turned out to be a D/H. Very nice people, too. Spent some time waiting on the driver in front of me, talking to a WalMart driver. If we got paid like they do to deliver the grocery dc stuff, I wouldn't mind as much. $21.50 to bump the dock, $14/hr while being unloaded...

 

heard one time that they get paid to be in the sleeper as well....dunno, but sounds pretty sweet

 

Yes they get paid to break. Seams lately they are on a hiring binge. Used to b really hard to get hired on. Either was a waiting list or u nedd to know some one.

 

not trying to be smart, but it kinda looks like these are the folks you should look into.

Me, I'll never do well in this kind of envornment. But someone who has driven as a company driver for mucho years and is used to being told where to go and what to do, would do well here.

Again, Moose, not trying to be an arse.....jus' sayin'....

 

I don't think I would handle it very well, either. Part of what I like about my new gig is that I won't have to deal with customers at all. At least, not after the initial introductions.

 

I'll work for wally if they'll match my hometime. LOL
