Sept 21, 2014 Day 6 15000 miles

What a day...I was up at 8am and knowing our trailer wont be here till noon and then 600 miles to EauClaire...you all know I love the T680..wel at 130 no trailer ask dispatch and its atc"Wayne" yard ie Miller Coors...great on duty fuel run over there hook and go...my clock is running and I want to make it on time...I still have a perfect record. Long drive over lots of construction we arrive. at 330 am parked and got about 2 hours sleep...beat but 2700 plus miles for me on the week the truck 3400 miles...

Sept 22 2014 Day 7 of 15000

Got an hour and half of sleep, as our unload was 0600 good news they were ready so dropped trailer and was told to pick ours with the green tag on it.. of coarse I spaced that and when we got to the lot I am like oh no..."R" reminded me why we write everything down...get hooked and cant get the 41 foot lined up on the rears to the king pin I bet I was in and out of cab 15 times...got it out to park and to sleep. Dispatch is hounding us to give them exact time were off our 10 hour...thats never a good sign. They want us to bring that trailer to Black River Falls take a load to Lacrosse then over for a beer load to NY...all good we fuel at the base..now everyone should know Black River is our headquarters... drivers lounge here is Millis Mahal...leather big screen TVs the works...no time to enjoy..grab the load deliver, get over for beer load and I am in charge now " R" is just assisting I forgot my DL in truck so kind lady behind desk wouldnt give me the paperwork...MF back to truck keep smiling get the paperwork back in truck "R" says which lot is trailer in....OMG back in still smiling shes like duh we only have one lot for trailers...well could you point your broom that you ride in the direction of said lot I am virgin here...well we get trailer my new ladder works great..more on that later..pre plan and we dont deliver until Wednesday at 2pm were going right past "R" home so he gets a night with the family and I am getting a cab for a few Jack and Cokes...god bless the USA....We have 14 hours before we turn a wheel, sleep will feel good tonight!

Sept 23, 2014 Day 8 of 15000 miles

After a nice relaxing night were on the road to pound out the miles we start at 930 am and I got ample fuel for the 11 hours...today "R" is in sleeper chilling like any good trainer I work my way across the country mile by mile a little Sammy Hagar music some country music before you know it were thru Chicago time for a rest...we pull into service plaza just into Indiana the one that has a Hardees....(my favorite) a number 1 for me... sitting outside on a beautiful day, I jave some time to refect, I am loving this, I love the T680, and I am thinking how cool "R" got 12 hours at home didnt have to ask dispatch here at Millis you pick the way you want to go just be on time and safe. Had I had my own truck I would have had the same amount of home time.....free home time WOW! After break back to the road since I am planning these trips now and I will admit I love logistics and "R" asks how far we going where you stopping for the night...I pointed to 2 huge truckstops just before PA over 300 spots, should leave us 3 hours in the morning to get to delivery by 2 pm. Then were going to SC...miles miles miles yeah baby unload and load same place. Were in the Pilot by 8pm get a shower ticket...man they have great showers...make a few phone calls home and time for bed. Oh Cleveland has the dumbest 35mph turn on a 4 lane highway I have seen yet...but I held my lane...easy on the turn dont want to spill the beer downshift " Button Down" as Chris would say...watch the trailer its like art when its all smooth ....John Wayne tonight...love it...

Sept 24, 2014 Day 9 of 15000 miles

Easy ride in for delivery...and since were live unload and reload live at same place were right in....nice people tight parking crazzy NY truckers have zero tolerance for newbie but " R" set them straight...loaded in 3 hours we got to make some time as we deliver in SC Friday mornimg...we get about 3 hours in so I will have a full day tomorrow to get there...playing the 70 hour drop off game...

Sept 25, 2014 day 9 of 15000

Got up to wet rain I have about 11 hours to make about 600 miles. Glad to put NY in thE rearview...long day but I made it Pilot came thru with another great shower then I walked next door for ribs and chicken southern style...I will be sleeping good tonight. "R" spent the day in the sleeper in case I had enough...little does he know I have done 17 to 24 shifts on the water...John Wayne

Sept 26, 2014 Day 10 of 15000

Up at 6 am take tge mike ride over to the place, get unloaded right away...yeah. now were off to grab a load to St Louis M O we arrive about an hour later right in and loaded, I only have about 8 hours today. Its a deliver anytime Saturday, so in Knoxville "R" takes over... we got preplaned for the weekend..Drop in St Louis and grab one going to Richfield, drop it grab a trailer back to N C...YES YEZ to the "mile god" I hit tge bunk cant wait to keep it going...
