What if your employer went to all autos and you really liked your job? Would you quit or swallow your pride?

Not only too lazy to shift, but also too lazy to call up companies for yourself. Want everything handed to you, don't you?

I wouldn't really like my job if my employer went to all autos.

Started year ago in a stick, left that company after six months, next company threw me in an auto. Hated it. Harder to back up with, especially backing up a hill. Begged for truck with stick. Got one now shift like a rookie at times cause I lost 4 months of shifting. Hated going down hill in an auto too. And btw im a newbie, well 1 year newbie.

i have heard about backing problems but the ones i have driven have not noticed
and our autos go across 80 to the west coast everyday
i think there are a few hills somewhere along that route
the auto also gets best mileage in the fleet

well there is always the variable of the driver but the 2 drivers that got the best mileage in standards
mileage improved by another .3 in the auto
I can get close to 7 with my 13 speed going Green Bay to LA
the guy with the auto is consistently above 7 same run

I don't know im 32 and guess im old school. I want a manual have a CB that is always on, unless sleeping and I don't believe in gps. Just use an atlas and call the customer for directions. Worked for me thus far. I'm glad I didn't take autos as way out, that I can shift.

    Numb Thanks this.
