Brown Lines does run Alaska, summer time mainly and team only. I've seen them up hear regularly during fish season. As fo Carlile, I run to Prudoe Bay three times a week and for every one Lynden truck I see five or six Carlile trucks. I have pulled loads for Brown Lines during the busy season and they are great folks to deal with. I am an independant O/O set up with Lynden Transport, I get loads from their sister companies all the time and if I were running down there I would sure call the folks at Brown lines or use lynden to get at thier freight.

Does Brown Line have tuition reimbursement?
-
I am interviewing with Brown today and am pretty excited by the good press they get. Running team/dedicated with Swift now, it's fine except for the low pay.

Savage: Did you get the job? How is Brown treating you? Do they only run teams or do they also offer solo? Thanks!
-
Yes, love it. Laying in the sleeper right now. They run teams regional linehaul and solo local.
-
Glad to hear! Do you know what they pay for solo local? Is solo local a Monday thru Friday gig?
-
Yes, $20 an hour, but you have to do linehaul first as there is a waiting list to get local. Still, a lot of guys do the line haul and volunteer for extra local days.
-
Brownline sends trucks up there as well.

Almost a year later... how are things going at lynden? Been thinking about joining becouse I have a foot in there. How's the home time? Still happy?
