Do you have an area you have enjoyed going to over another area so far? I really enjoyed running up to the Cleveland area when I was at Cargo.

Yeah, I am actually thankful for 55 mph speed zones so I can actually keep up and work on my discipline with my foot.

So far I liked Minnesota and Wisconsin. Aside from the construction. Right now I'm sitting at R&B in GA.

Riding to my pickup in NJ before heading back down to NC. It's been raining since before I made it out of PA last night. Another few weeks and I'm off in my own truck, and honestly I'm ready to get in my own truck but I'm kinda nervous about it as well.

I'm honestly considering giving my resignation. I've had two minor incidents so far. One being a backing incident where I backed into a cement dock wall and screwed up the corner light. And the other today when I caught a pallet with tailswing while making a hard right turn. I just feel like I'd do better with more of a hands on trainer than a "wake me up if you need something" trainer. We have been sent after a load that brings us back to the yard because of this, so I figure it can't be good. Think I might need to cut my losses and find somewhere else and retrain.

    DONT

Everyone has little incidents much like you had. Don't sweat it. I am not posting on here what I did, but in the third week of training when I was at CT I had a fairly expensive incident and I was not fired. If they did not fire me I am positive they will not fire you.

Maybe they are bringing you back to have a talk with the trainer as to why he isn't getting out and watching for you when you back or sitting in the passenger seat when you are in tight areas or heavy traffic. These incident's go both ways when a trainer is involved. He has an obligation to do his best to keep you from doing these things.

Now if you're still very intimidated by the truck and what you're doing, and have no confidence yet, then you might want to think things over after talking with safety.

I never thought of that. Thank you. I'm not intimidated by the truck or driving it. Both incidents were due to me not seeing what was going on due to the angle of the trailer. Today was just stupid, instead of taking the obvious path, I took the one the trainer had me take last time after I couldn't blindside it to the dock. I hope I don't get fired, but I have other places to go if I do. But I like it here, and would at least like to get a year in. A year with no more incidents.

I'm gonna follow your advice. If I get fired, I get fired. If I quit and they weren't gonna fire me, now I have unnecessary paperwork, someone else's cup to pee in, orientation again, full training again and that's a lot of no reason. I will keep y'all posted, hopefully I have something to keep posted on.
