Is jb hunt recruiter blowing smoke on c&s york pa account ?

Previously posted this, Would drive for JB hunt, if I was not 8 years invested ( now ) into this career would of made the change a few years back. Something else was better ( for me ) came along.


Cliff notes: never believe a trucking company recruiter. JBhunt okay in my book of useless information.

 

I'm an intermodal driver out of Harrisburg PA. In regards to intermodal the $1,200 to $1,300 a week is very do able...after you have some experience with this job in the begining your not going to be good at it and you will be learning the ropes working rail unless you have done it before. If you have never driven local around the area before that is another learning curve. If you have done both before you might make that starting out. In regards to having Sundays off and working in the early morning goes having the weekends or at least a Saturday or Sunday off those are the most sought after shifts. However they are the shifts where you will make less do to the fact you have heavier traffic and have to interact with customers a lot more. Not to mention the rail yards are heavily congested in the mornings.

As far as ES3 goes ie C&S grocery in York PA I yot loaned out to help them a few times last year and the stores unloaded the trailer and I never had to move any giant trailers around. It was 't bad but I prefer intermodal personally.
