Almost stomped a O/O at pilot for yelling at me for pulling up.

 

Daily my 65 mi./hr. Governed company driver butt comes up on a truck going slower than myself. I go to pass, then his ego kicks in and he speeds up to 65. Looking in the mirrors I see an impatient for wheeler jump in behind the truck I'm passing and an O/O fly up to about three feet off my bumper... I'm trapped. So who's going to give me a way out to free all of you up? Answer... None of you jerks. Blame the one that stepped up his pace. I would not have been passing with my #### governed if he was not going slower in the first place.

sorry this is the correct quote for the previous comment I made. NOBODY WANTS TO HOLD YOU UP ON PURPOSE. A few O/Os think they are God of the highway... so to you...enjoy the governer....

 

I usually fuel first thing in the am; I just usually seem to get in and out quicker then. Any other time it seems without fail the lane I choose to wait in line at is where the fattest, sloppiest jackwad makes me wait 30 minutes before he comes crawlin' out of the store with a garbage sack of greasy chicken and a trash can full of soda.....Friggen human slugs....

So yeah, I like the am....

 

Fuelin' a Big truck at a Big truck truck stop is like gambling.
Which lane will be clear first?
Feelin' lucky?

Why not have a single line formed according to when they arrive, -- in order.
First one in line takes the next available pump, and so on and so on on down the line.
So simple, .......... even a caveperson could do it.
But use the caveperson to enforce the rules against lingering.

Or, ------------------

Instead of fightin' 'em, ---- join 'em.
Call it "Reflecting", to sound politically correct.
Do as they do.

I know, I know, ------- how hard doin' that would be for the majority of y'all.
But think about it.
When those who habitually use the fuel islands for selfish reasons begin to bark their displeasure to the management, --- y'all will notice a change, if for no other reason than the reduction in their income comin' in. Until they feel an emptiness in the wallet, there's no problem.

Corrective measures?
How 'bout -----
An attendant attending the fuel islands with the authority to remove leaches.
AND a BIG sign with this:

WARNING
ONCE FUELING HAS ENDED THERE IS A TIME LIMIT OF
15 MINUTES
TO MOVE YOUR BIG TRUCK TO ANOTHER LOCATION
WHERE IT WILL NOT BLOCK OTHER BIG TRUCK TRUCK DRIVERS

IF THE TIME LIMIT IS EXCEEDED YOUR BIG TRUCK AND TRAILER
WILL BE TOWED TO AN IMPOUND YARD AT YOUR EXPENSE.
ONCE THE HOOK-UP PROCESS BEGINS YOU CANNOT STOP IT.

My practice was to park (if possible) for anything more than grabbing a receipt and the free coffee. If I was stopping for fuel I probably had a few more things to do so I'd usually fuel, then park, and then get the receipt/hot dog, etc., so there was no pressure to feel "in a hurry".

 

I had some jack wagon parked at the fuel island today in Indiana. I walked up after waiting 10 minutes and he was stuffing his ugly face while sitting there. I asked if he could pull up. He made faces at me but he did.... So he pulled up and continues to stuff his face. I finished fueling but needed to fill the reefer tank too. I had to go ask the douche to pull up further. He made a comment in Russian and I gave him a big American middle finger. He roared off with an attitude.
the thing that bugs me the worse was the parking lot was less than half full. I parked went inside. Used the bathroom. Grabbed something to eat, looked around alittle... Went back to the truck just as my 30 minute break expired.... Got in and started trucking.... Why can buttwipes like that guy just park??? There had to be 25 pull through spots.... Pissed me off.

 

Is it possible that the daily mandated thirty-minute waste of time
and/or the increasing use of e-logs has anything to do with the
escalating situation?
