Their website doesn't give specifics about miles, but here is the website: http://www.anwebber.com/default.asp

Prime is VERY Vet friendly. Every Friday morning we have our safety meetings held in Springmo and they always recognize our Veterans. If you are a vet you can get veteran decals for the sides of your truck as well.

Looking in to Maverick too and at their reefer division. They start you out at .35cpm and after 3 months go to .37cpm. Averaging anywhere from 24-2800 miles a week. Great benefits and all trucks have APU's and an inverter already. 2-3 weeks out and 2-3 days home..Very vet friendly from what i have seen and who i talked to there! I will also be applying to A.N. Webber, Schneider, Crete, and others. I cant get start with Maverick till i start school..
lcfd15 Thanks this. -
I drive for Melton and am retired Navy Chief. Melton does have the GI bill apprentice program that give you around 1100$ a month From your go bill. Vets get no special treatment but Melton does treat all there drivers pretty good

Melton truck lines is a great place to drive for, if you don't mind a little work involved besides driving, good luck

does melton let you take the truck home during home time? can you give me more specifics like mileage, hometime, how is the company overall? dispatchers? thanks guys
-
Yes you take the truck home.for home.time. we just got a 2 cent pay raise. Starting pay with less than 6 months exp is .37 a mile. Within a year you would up to .44 com. I avg about 2500 miles plus 40$ tarp pay. In my opinion Melton is a good company. They treat everyone good.
