McLean, IL at the Dixie/Road Ranger/Pilot. Seems I haven't been here before. Nice big dirt lot so parking isn't an issue. The restaurant has mixed reviews so time to live dangerously.

After consulting my paper log... I arrived at that rest area around 19:45 central time and left in the morning after. Did you park there too or just passed by?

That Soldier Summit... have memories about that place... my very first trailer tire blow out happened right there... going east up the mountain... heavy as hell... :biggrin_2552: It was a Walmart trailer.... called DC in Hurricane and they sent roadside repair right away... :yes2557:

Broker yesterday told me my pick up would be this afternoon.... :biggrin_25510: which I didn't like at all... Called shipper but mail box was full... So, I found shipper website and sent them an email asking if load would be ready for pick up early this morning... And someone returned my msg saying YES. :yes2557:
So, I was there at 7:30 am mountain time and my load was ready. :yes2557: The place was a mother... for backing to dock... :biggrin_2552:
Anyway... now parked at a rest area in NE on I-80... Will drive 10:30 hrs tomorrow and hopefully will end at a nice truck stop for my reset... Will deliver on Monday afternoon in TN...

That would be a no--LOL--but it could be worse--our Plastic 660's have Tall gears w/Paccars--and they are scared of their own shadow--and getting worse--now getting 680's w/Paccar and Autos.....
    It just keeps getting better:(

That's the oldest truck stop in America. Got remodeled a few years ago. We love the buffet there.

Is it my impression? The one on the left looks narrower than the one on the right... And they don't have fender mirrors... :biggrin_25513:
I miss the old 2007 Columbia Freightliner... It had a little bit more storage inside and the sun roof was very "romantic" in my opinion... and I miss the little window at the bottom of passenger door, and the mirror on the top of the door... I see those ones have that mirror...
New trucks have a lot more technology and things to fix than the old ones... :biggrin_2552:
