I've been following you, harlycharlie and others so long that I've never taken the time to introduce myself. Pardon me. I am a recent grad currently going thru tanker orientation in Coraopolis. Thanks for this thread.

Man this thread has a lot of good info. forgive me for the hijacking, but for the ones that have been running tanker with sni for awhile.. would you recommend it? the tanker side... I live in Dallas and currently running intermodal reg. out of Haslet Im wanting something with a little more challenging and so tanker is what im considering. Thanks in advance....

Absolutely, I would give it a shot. Tanker is different from dry van but as long as you can live with the surge its pretty straight forward to learn. Even though I left snbc for another company I still recommend it, and Texas is a great place to be for tankers. A year or two with Schneider bulk and you will be a hot commodity with your choice of places to go that pay better.

Thanks for the reply... As of right now this site is the only way I can get like up to date info on the sni tanker side... so all replies will be greatly appreciated good or bad... Ive been with sni over a year now and feel like tanker could work for me just ready for a change from the intermodal side.

It's where I started, I also parked in Dallas but ran out of Houston. I left for way more money but it was good while it lasted. You probably won't stay after your year mark, the offers will be too good to let go.

Well, I figured if I stayed with sni for another year running tanker and I love it... thatll put me at 2 years running with sni. One more year and Ill be 100% vested in the 401k and it'll all be mines. Will probably transit over to the tanker side in about a month or so.. Thanks for the reply...
