I was supposed to go back up to nd with pipe , but, I m on an oversized load and the stepdeck trailer I borrowed needed 3 tires and lights and now on closer inspection a cross member needs replaced. 😠now the newest guy we hired grossed more than me this week. Thats a first and last. That isn't bad for him considering leaving the house Monday and getting back on Friday grossing $7300. Next commercial company is on him.😂

the one that unloaded me was suction.truck_dwival Thanks this.

They started to roll mine up by hand til I showed them my reel and they dropped them right back onto the ground.
From what I understand, a stringer truck has off road capabilities, like log trucks, and the trailer does not have landing gear to get ripped off.
They wanted me to drive along the trench and take off one pipe every 45 feet. -
Something that makes me do my happy dance! I'm taking another load up there on Tuesday.
-
So what's that number because I've never taken a load up there and doing a happy dance over the rate when things first started up there in 2006 I was going up there for $7,200 last February I went for $6,100 and I'll never go back for that kind of money again.....so what are you calling good money???
-
Kinda depends from WHERE LOL............if your talkin' a pipe yard in the Houston area vs. somewhere in the upper midwest. I don't THINK that Skate is pullin' out of TX, but I may be mistakenSkate-Board Thanks this.

This is exactly why I don't discuss rates. Too many people like to put themselves up upon a pedestal. If the rate makes me very happy that's all that counts. If I said I was getting $7,200 someone else would come along saying they get $8,500 and so on.
I don't discuss money, politics or religion with anyone except my close friends.albert l Thanks this. -
Nope, not Texas. I did that twice. The second time I ended up leaving and not loading because I hated the place and people soooooo much.
A lot of things weigh on my decision to haul loads and this one hits every mark right on the button. The place I load is awesome with good people that load me, fast and a place to park in their lot when I show up early. The drive is pretty much flat the whole way with good places to park. The place I unload is so quick I wish they would slow down. It's just a very pleasant experience all around. -
I think the guys out of HOU are going for $4500 now
