    Now on the upside....

i will be getting a raise...nice retirement plan...nice new trucks with tripac, inverter and xm installed...

only down side is these guys run the northeast a lot but nyc is not forced dispatch..$150 extra if you want to go.

close to home and decent hometime...had these guys been paying what they do now when i first left gordon i would have went with them from the beginning...

time will tell but i feel good about it...

    thanks all

Wow. Two of us turning trucks in. I guess health insurance is a pretty important thing these days. I am fortunate enough to be pretty healthy and can get away with the bottom of the barrel insurance, with the high deductible that covers me for the catastrophic events.

Snow shoveling for $19.00 sounds pretty good, but I imagine after a month or two it will suck.

Also, thanks Joe for the offer. I don't think I could drive for a big company like that. I never worked for a big carrier and I don't do well with learning new tricks. Furthermore trucking in the lower 48 does not appeal to me at all anymore. I am spoiled having run the North for the last year and all the people I have met there.

I'm sure. Those pesky people from the IRS and state tax authority make the pain and agony of third shift manual labor a bit less painful. I've got to get them off my back; they are not nice people.

if I didn't have grandchildren in Oklahoma and a house I'll never be able to sell in Michigan, I'd head back home and work for Carlile, though I'd volunteer for the southern parts; as much as I love winter, doing the haul road at my age would be tough.

All good things, those. Add insurance and its a sweet deal.
