I have zero doubt that he got his ##### hauled into his terminal managers office and got bent over his desk. He was probably given the option of leaving here forever or turning in his truck.

Maybe shoulda cleared the project with those from on high at the Company first so they could help ..... uhhhhh, ....
pick the right words to describe life from within. The better to keep control over the contents contained within that free flow of information as well as bein' in control of any potential over-flow of the information they provide for free. Which just might be more than it's worth.

Would a Big truck truckin' company really go that far?
    Preferable treatment for silence?
Would a Big truck truck driver really agree to terms like that?
    If so, what's next?
A pact with the dude from waayyy down under?
    I wonder, ................................. :smt102:evil3::smt077

Kinda why I keep stuff vague. Knight does patrol these forums and other forums very closely. If you want a quick reply from Knight, start posting in Craigslist, they are all over that place as well!

^What he said^. Not only are you getting into a questionable truck but they're paying you dirt. Somehow I don't think it matters what anyone here says tho.

I kind a look at it this way… If knight doesn't like what they read about their company and they need to change their ways because what they do on a consistent basis with Constant shorting on payroll has been for years it's not an accident...there's a good reason why they moved payroll out of the Phoenix terminal last December into a new corporate office on the north side of Phoenix with no truck parking available

I imagine a small office located off the beaten path, in the basement, manned by a true-blue red knight tasked with protectin' an image from bein' overly tarnished. On the door leadin' to the inner office; neatly painted, black block letters spell out what goes on on the other side of the door: DAMAGE CONTROL CENTRAL.

Inside the small, dimly lit inner office, surrounded by file cabinets and banks of computer towers pumpin' images to several monitors located on the windowless walls; sits a rather large, cluttered desk, --- behind which sits the true-blue red knight scannin' the internet in search of the truth. Upon locating any and all truisms, the good knight traces the path to the sayer of said truth and systematically silences those who would expose the inner secrets established many years ago, based on a dream dreamed by Maude, daughter of a knight, now crossed over to become one with England; Chester be thy handle. From this union cometh the Sons-0-Chester to carry on the traditions in unethical splendor, void of conscience, showing no remorse for the ruination of those deemed to be in possession of poor work ethics by the good knights and England alike.

We've been told that, in outer space, there exists black holes with gravitational force so strong that light cannot escape. Here on Earth, there exists at knight, a hole with gravity so strong that it prevents truth from escaping from knight to light, never to be heard. Any sounds that trumpet a warning are credited to disgruntled former employees in retaliation for the destruction of their well-being and Big truck truckin' career. The true-blue red knight speaks with an eloquent, silver forked tongue, oh so sweet. Don't be fooled though, --- the message is impossible to eat.
Be thee warned, stay enlightened and above all else, avoid venturing into the world at knight where eyes will be gazin' upon y'all's actions as well as the words y'all speak.

As a company driver going on two years, I read this thread, and I reach for my bottle of Tylenol, I wonder if I should have chosen to go to college and get a degree in business, THEN get my CDL. Head still hurts from reading this post. It sounds like one big ### word problem my high-school math teacher would of devised.

I'm going to keep it simple for a very long while: Pre-trip, Hop in truck, drive. bump dock, drive, bump dock, post-trip, sleep, get my $0.XXcpm and repeat.

I overheard the terminal mgr in Katy tell a driver this on the phone while I was standing there..."you're just a driver, you're a nobody"....basically shows how mgt thinks of drivers...pitiful

OP still with red swift? It was actually an interesting read. I hope they didn't find out and get mad at you.

They are holding a lot of revenue back, the company I am at gets me $2/mi for 18% which includes all trailer maintenance and insurance. I pay more for my truck as well, but am clearing around $3k per week. With the revenue and faster truck.
