His other post with the short story opening was an interesting read. I wish he didn't "quit" the forum as I have questions for him regarding his story and the contradictions from paragraph to paragraph.

The voices in his head told him it was best to ask to be BANNED

it really is not that big of a deal. when my brother first got started, he already had a few wrecks and after got his first driving job got into a wreck that also ended up giving him a ticket. Now it took more homework on his part, but he did find a good company to drive for. it was a smaller outfit, but they where a good company. So there are jobs out there without going to the bottom feeders. sometimes you just have to look heard and long to find a good company that will listin to your situation and give you a chance. in his case he found a man that had only 12 trucks and he ran south east just around his home. And he payed .34cpm . now that is not a but load of cash, but it is better than bottom feeders, and he did not want his equipment ran over the 11 hrs without getting some rest. so just keep looking. you will find someone. and don't be afraid to ask stuff questions like legal log books and running heavy. if they get offended or beat around the bush, then keep looking.

Should I be driving a truck? -
Also you won't get hired in 3 years because you had no job in 3 years ,it's like the old "aint got a car cause I got no job ,aint got a job cause I got no car"

He won't leave the NYC flustercluck. He's a prisoner of his choices and drama and culture, which is pretty common among the good folks up in that area, unfortunately. They can't imagine anything else or better exists out there beyond the teeming masses and that "way of life" that kicks their butts every day and drives them crazy. Most folks who leave that morass have to be forcibly ejected either by economic or other forces after they just give up on the struggle. Some people never figure out that they don't have to struggle like that.Lepton1 Thanks this.
