We have been accepted by Covenant and Prime. I realize that there are some strong opinions for both companies. One of the positives of Covenant is they will train a couple together. Other companies that we have looked into (AbileneTyson, Old Dominion) either had a 3 year minimum experience or had a 2-6 month training (apart) period. Prime is 2 months training period.
Torn as to what to do. Neither of us do not want to be apart from each other 2-6 months.
What do you think?
Covenant or Prime

You answered your own question....Covenant!
-
Would that even be legal having 2 trainees in an otr truck or is covenant's training program a home every night sort of thing?
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Armellini has 3 or 4 drivers in one truck.
-
holy moly no thank you lol I couldn't handle that, and there is no way I could train a married couple at the same time couldn't imagine the headache that would be . no offense to the op I hope you find what your looking for
-
Prime actually has more to offer us as a team minus the training period. We still need to talk with the recruiter.
-
think it could be done but would definitely have to set the rules and boundaries on day one. rule #1 you are two trainees not husband and wife. rule #2 none of THAT in my truck. LOL this aint no motel 6. LOL
-
you can try watkins shepard. the team will get a new truck after 10 day orientation. after you get some experience, it is ok to move along, since w/s dont give as many miles to teams as they would like, unless you can get onto a dedicated account.
-
2 Months will go fast, PRIME will pay you more. Deal with the two months, then smile to the bank.
DucB and AJ Thanks this. -
I know Covenant pays over .50CPM for teams, dunno about Prime.
If you share that midget truck they offer you can probably beat what Covenant pays.
