How is it illegal to decide that someone simply isn't a good fit for the company culture? And how would anyone be able to prove you did not get hired for any other reason than that?

You nor I have the amount of money it would cost to take a case like this to court. I am pretty sure that "Swift's" lawyers have already been sat down with to go over any issues that may arise.
I am not gonna argue so please dont take what I said like I am trying to start one. There is kust no way any of us drivers could go up against a big companies lawyers like those and expect to win the case. -
Yup. That's sure what "we drivers" need to do. Take all that power back from those greedy trucking company owners.

So what have you heard?
I have listed several scenarios where a driver facing camera can screw an otherwise innocent driver. Please tell me about all these videos you have seen and heard where the driver facing camera has proven the drivers innocence.
I'm trying to be "rational" about this. -
These camera systems prove innocence more often than they prove guilt. They show what the driver is looking at and when the driver is looking at it. They show that the driver isn't holding a phone when the incident happened, they show that the driver isn't playing with the radio when the incident happened. Do you NEED the camera to prove any of that? Nope. But having it shuts down any and all suspicion instantly.
The world is changing driver and this industry is changing along with it. These camera systems are out there now and their use will become more and more common. Very much like EOBR's, with rare exception, the ones yelling the loudest about what an outrage it is will be the ones who know this will force them to change the way they operate or force them to get out of the business all together and that's exactly what the companies want.
Complain about it? Have at it. Moan about how you can't do things the way you did back in 1981? Go ahead. But it ain't 1981 anymore and it never will be again both in this industry as well as outside of it.
Go work in fast food, go work on a factory or warehouse floor, go work in a large office cube farm and you will likely have cameras on you constantly. In some cases those cameras will also have audio. None of that existed in 1981. Those changes came about and none of the employees involved could have done anything to stop it. Changes are going to keep coming to this industry whether anyone likes it or not.DenaliDad Thanks this.
