I have always paid between $10-$14 I was told that the earlier you reserve the spot, the cheaper it will be but, I found that not to be true. It all depends on the City you are reserving your spot in. I normally call for the spot if I know the TS well enough to know that by the time I get there, I won't have a choice but to pay or, if I get there and there is nothing left but to pay, I will call. I have reserved a spot two days out before, simply because I knew I would get there, than leave 4 hours later to deliver and come right back.

Thats why they are charging for parking, they are losing money from people not spending money

    see previous line

if they tear a $10,000 hood off my truck that's not my problem that's Insurances problem. If you need me i'll be in the hotel taking a shower

how terrible is it that resturants take advantage of the fact humans (and living things) need food to survive by charging us to eat food.
how dare truck stops take advantage of the fact our trucks need fuel by charging prices for fuel
how terrible is it that we need stuff to function so stores (Walmart, mostly) charge us for the stuff we need to live, how shameful

You know, if the truckstop resaurants actually served quality, flavorful food, maybe more drivers would actually eat in them. Lately, I'm finding that McDonald's, Wendy's, and Arby's have better tasting food than most of the Iron Skillets, Country Prides, and ALL of the Denny's.

And am I the only one who wishes Flying J still had their own restaurants?

I would rather have Denny's than the old J restaurant. Some of them were just nasty. Never had a great meal at Denny's. Never had a bad meal either. It does go to show, however, that PFJ are a little more driver oriented than a TA. I could go into almost any PFJ in the country and everything is open at 2 am. Go to a TA and they don't even have hot dogs on the warmer and the bathroom looks like a bomb hit it.

Mine was a miss tonight then. I'm at the Hook in Carney's Point and decided to have a cheese omelet for supper. Even that was just "meh".

I like that Flying J. It always seems to have parking available.
