Trying to find someplace to park a Tractor Trailer can be a big problem for some drivers. Especially if you live near a large urban area. The towing mafia makes big money off of truckers. They will usually grab your truck in the middle of the night when your not watching it. Personally I would rather leave the truck at a terminal so I am not responsible for it. SEC always services my truck and will fix anything wrong with it while I am on my home time. They maintain their equipment very well. My truck is always ready to roll when I return to work.

Thanks Tow, Air Breeze, Junebug, and all. This thread has been helpful and great to read. I'm still working at PTL, but I'm looking for a company I might like better. I'm waiting for Kim to get back to me, but in the meantime one question I'm curious to know about now is.. are you allowed to bring your tractors and/or trailers home on your home time? I live in Columbus, GA about 290mi or 5.5 hrs away from Lawrenceburg, TN. Very interested in SEC though.

I believe you would be able to park the equipment at the yard in Macon ga but ask Kim for sure.Air Breeze Thanks this.

What is the hiring area for SEC? I live in Mobile Al I wonder if that is too far south for them? I filled out an online application anyway.

SEC will hire you in the entire state of Alabama.

Well I must be doing something right. I'm on home time now but they called me yesterday and told me when I come back to work I will be getting one of the brand new trucks that just come in. I didn't ask for it or anything they just called and told me I was getting one. A automatic and refrigerator will be nice
