International day cabs are cramped compared to Cascadia day cabs. I hated driving one 400 miles while my Cascadia was in the shop, never mind 600 miles, but then again Im 6-2".

Hope your shorter than I am jdiesel

I'm 5'7 and I agree that the Pro Star day cabs are a bit cramped compared to a Cascadia. I passed by the Crown warehouse which is by where I currently work, I noticed one truck and Crown trailer and it happened to be a sleeper! Wouldn't mind that at all.

I finished orientation today! They gave me the option of going straight home or doing a short run then going home tomorrow. I opted to run. I'm doing a crown run. Left the fort with an empty. Dropped it in new Castle, in. Picked up a loaded trailer going to Cincinnati for an a.m. delivery. It's not much but it's better than only getting orientation pay for the week. Plus I would imagine I'll do some pickups before I go back to the fort. So it will be ok. I'll hit it hard next week!

What motors are in these Cornbinders? I've heard nothing but nightmares with the Maxxforce motor and the constant breakdowns due to emissions.

Yeah I know all about the auto, disappointed about the Max Farce motor though. I do remember Duncan telling me if your truck is in the shop they will assign you a temp truck. Well honestly, I don't like the idea of moving all my #### back and forth.

I hope it's not a constant issue like most companies have with those motors.

I was wondering if someone could explain the medical benefits at Cheeseman. Is their options to get lower deductibles/co-pays. I almost started at Cheeseman a year or two ago, but declined. My medical benefits at my current employer got really bad so I am looking in to different companies now. Possibly go With Cheeseman. The CT terminal is 45-50 minutes
from my house. I wish I could take the truck home but I guess they said I can't. Thank you for reading this

Honestley I haven't looked real hard at their medical because I'm covered on my wife's insurance. What I did like is Cheeseman will pay me $300 a month if I choose not to take it.

Wow that really great! I would have to take the insurance. I wish my wife had a job with med benefits. I hope it's not like the med ins I have now. With a 20k deductible, $600 out of pocket per month. It's almost not worth having it!! Unfortunately I need it. I have been with the same company for 12 years now and I am getting 70k-75k per year but a lot of that pays the medical bills at least trying to pay it. Lol. Do you know if Cheeseman gives drivers a per-diam pay or whatever or however you say it.

They have an optional per deim. Go to their website and click on the far right tab called carrers. Then click on pay or benefits on the drop down menu. Not much hard info on the health insurance but the way this company pays you for everything you do my guess is they should have a half decent health plan.
