I got offered to lease onto a O/O's authority a few months back. I turned it down. If you want me to run 'outlaw', I'll do it, but you gotta make it worth while. I'm not gonna bust balls for $60,000 when I can make more in LTL.... And be home everyday.

It's not worth it anymore to run 'outlaw'. It took me 8 years of driving to figure that smart drivers can find ways of making money without having to run hard. All you have to do is know who the good employers are and turn in a resume at the right time. You don't have to run hard to make a good living, and I DOUBLED my income when I sold my truck. Not having an overhead reduces a lot of headache.

That's because you can make $20,000 or $90,000+ driving. What makes the difference is your level of experience and the company name on the truck.

Anyone in Chicago wants to run local, home every night. We are at $260/day salary and need about 8 more drivers. PM me.

It is not $100K but it is way better than $800 a week and out three weeks!

Some of us make a lot more than you think, but we aren't dragging around a box on mileage pay.

It is hard to do anywhere near 100K unless you want to work the oilfields in ND or some other hell hole. Life in the oilfield sucks in my opinion. You can make 60 to 80 K with some of the better tanker companies. Especially the privately owned fleets. You will need hazmat and TWIC for most of those jobs. Cryogenic tankers generally pay well and they are clean steady work usually.

$80,000 a year crude hauling, working 10 hours 5 days a week as a company driver with health insurance, matching 401K... and NOT in North Dakota... too many noobs and too many cut throat companies up there.
