Well I see jabber still has reason not to take any of the advise hes getting on here. Sorry man but you are a drama queen. Sack up be a man make adjustments to your problems take the good advise or just stay in your sleeper wining. I had sympathy for you but this is crazy.

 

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but buddy. Help is out there, you don't have to feel this way. You've got an anxiety disorder. I've lived with anxiety my whole life, and in fact I am finally entering the trucking industry because I've finally gotten the help I needed.

You might have asperger's syndrome, it comes out in the way you talk and the fear you've got. I grew up with that too and it took me 27 years to learn how to properly cope with it. The hardest part is that you grow up feeling like this and not knowing anything else, so you just assume it's normal. With medication to take care of the symptoms and live skills, I've got this. I can be a productive member of society, and so can you. YOU CAN DO THIS.

Neither a counselor nor a psychiatrist will ever ask to see your DOT medical card, and everything discussed is strictly confidential.

It sounds like you do need to get away from your parents. You don't have to offer them any explanations, you're an adult. You can sever ties all together if that's what you think it'll take. Rebuild the relationship later, or don't. You are the one who matters most to you right now, get yourself sorted out before you worry about others.

As for women, the most attractive thing to a woman is CONFIDENCE. The biggest turn on is CONVERSATION. You are having trouble with that right now, and THAT'S OKAY. You'll get there. I didn't read every post on this thread, but you've clearly got a money hole somewhere. Patch it.

If you're in lots of debt and your credit's already ruined, stop making payments for a while. Is that a bad idea? Sure, but if your credit's bad it gets to a point where it won't get much worse. Stop using a debit card and start using cash if it helps you visualize. Stop using cash and use only a debit card if looking back on transactions is easier. Don't eat out when you can avoid it, you'd be amazed how easy it is to piss away most of a paycheck that way.

Depending on the city, if you use priceline.com's name your own price thing, you can stay in four star hotels at $60 a night. I've done that plenty of times. Buses, taxis, uber, lyft, there's always a way to get around.

Renting just a room from someone is probably the best idea on here. Look at college towns.

If you don't mind slumming/hotel surfing where you sleep though, there are mail scanning services like travelingmailbox.com . Are you really supposed to use those addresses for anything but mail? Not really. Can you though? Absolutely. Would anything bad happen? Nope. As long as you're not a sex offender who needs to register where you live or something, you're okay.

This is gonna sound stupid as hell but hear me out. If you want some attention from a woman, sit your ### down, get a tablet some stamps and envelopes, and write to a woman in prison. writeaprisoner.com . I'm dead serious. Use this to practice conversation. It doesn't have to be about romance (and probably shouldn't) but friendship. Ask them about their lives, tell them about yours. Tell them about things you've seen, about life on the road. Relate to them. This is a perfect way to use something like travelingmailbox.com, too. BE NICE. They don't want to hear about your dick.

Before you balk at the above, sit down and look at some profiles. Send a letter, just one, before you come back and say it's a stupid idea. Most people in prison, particularly ones allowed to post on websites like that, are decent people who got caught up in the wrong ####, and that can happen to anybody who's down on their luck.

Because it actually is a real thing that affects tons of people, who have no idea because all this is just normal to them.

You would need to be adjudicated as mentally defective for anything to get revoked. It would have to go to court, and in general, the only mental issue that would cause you to lose your driver license (class A, D or otherwise) would be dementia. ***Or being convicted of a crime with a plea of insanity being accepted. If you're cognitive enough to drive a truck now, then you're fine.

Are you a danger to yourself and others? If you're not, then you're not. If you are, you shouldn't be driving anyway, especially not hazmat tanks. It's of utmost importance that you get these issues sorted out.

Does your company have short term disability coverage? You'd be looking at that or just FMLA leave, NOT unemployment if it's ANY kind of medical issue -- first. You'd sure have a hard time driving a truck if you broke your leg, too, but you wouldn't be immediately fired for that if you were getting treatment and took the right steps etc etc. Mental illness is the same as any other kind of illness or injury. ANY doctor will agree.

If that's the way you want to approach it, carry on.

A PMB address at Mail Boxes Etc, UPS Store, or a mail scanning service like I mentioned IS a physical address. A physical address is any address that's not a USPS Post Office Box. Doesn't mean that you actually hang your hat there. You could even use your parents address, put up a mail forwarding order to a PO Box and renew it every two years. Change of address for HazMat isn't going to be any different than any other change of address.

Take care bubba. I was just trying to help because what you're going through sounded a lot like what I've been through. But, I and everyone else here seem to feel like we're talking to a brick wall. I was the same way. All I can say at this point is good luck, you seem to have made your own decisions and that you know what you're doing.
