If that came from a CL in GA, or perhaps other states as well, Yea he is a scam'er....There are multiple post that follows his, warning drivers to beware of this guy.....so I have read from other CL post....even if he was legit, from my studies there's no money to make like that at that wage....IMO & I dont have enough experience to judge that but the simplicities of math shows you will be broke and thumbing a ride after making your drop just to get home....
Is 60 cents a mile good for this deal?

I know that you are going to get a higher mpg bobtail but each truck varies so much, I always base my mileage budget at 6 mpg. So, with that, a gallon of fuel costs $4 here now and if you get 6 mpg then divide 4 by 6 and you get .67 (rounded up) as your cost per mile for fuel.
So if you like to pay .07 per mile for the privilege of driving a truck... LOL -
This would be funny if dude was'nt serious
RERM and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
That's just it...he was before he spoke to us.

Bud all he's doing is giving you the money to pull the equipment and move it for him while he pickets the profits . 0.60 a mile will barley cover fuel like others said. I'd take a wild guess and say on the trucks your moving you'd see a fuel cost of roughly 0.49 to 0.52 cpm leaving you 200 to 240 a week to live on ...
That job is a no brainer pass -
Are you sure they didn't mean a 60/40 split of revenue?

Guys Guys Guys...I am a driveaway driver for over a year for now for J and J Driveaway out of Kansas 90% of the times and Truckmovers, prior to this I was an owner operator, sold my truck, bought a new car for the driveaway job and I am doing better....even thou I dont work for Norton Transport yet, but soon will be so I can replace Truckmovers..Norton Transportation does pay 60 cents a mile but what this post originator failed to say is that Norton pays an extra 40 cents a mile for FSC, if he says that most of their trucks are from penske then I can tell you that all Penske trucks are 3/4 full to full tank when you pick up, and you are only required to leave three inches of fuel in each tank at delivery. My tow vehicle is a 2014 Toyota Corolla with the 6 spd tranny, I get about 45-49 MPG when driving at 65MPH and 37-40 when driving between 75 and 80 MPH.
