Yes... they'll reimburse you the cost of a bus ticket for alternative methods of travel to orientation. Let your recruiter know you plan to do this before you come. There is a secure parking lot on the terminal property for employee vehicles too.

I was thinking the same thing with wife and I driving from California to Springfield instead of being stuck on the old dog

 

So your vehicle will be in Springfield while you go truckin'... what about when you're back in Cali? Flying is a possibility too without having to deal with a stranded car.
