Hey all, I am tryin to get some info on Genesis Transportation/ Penn Tank lines. They haul wallboard out of National Gypsum in Portsmouth, NH and US Gypsum in Ayer, Ma. I want to find out how solid that gig is. As there are 3? other flatbed outfits hauling out of USG as well. They told me they are paying 28% of the load. And, 90% of the loads are wallboard out of USG. I do not know what there rates are or if they are cutting rates or what the inside story is with them. I do know they have a contract with USG and drop trailers at their yard to be pre-loaded. I have seen with other carriers that when their contract is up someone else gets it and they are out. I want to find out what their health insurance cost for single. If I run across some of their company drivers I can get a better idea of where they are at. I am currently doing LTL and am thinking of making the move to flatbed. Their add says "NO Steel and 90% pre tarped. But, I know I would just happen to get the other 10% that wasn't. Thanks! Take care.
