You know ,....I've finally come to the conclusion , that EVERY FRIGG'IN TRUCK'IN OUTFIT , has got some Cry'in Mother FRIGGER , just a BALL'in , & FRIGG'IN BELLY ACHE'N!!!! I gotta say , I've been spending weeks , FRIGG'IN reseach'in "OUTFITS" ! , and I've come to the realization ,...of
,...."FUTILITY"!!! There are NO DARN truck'in outfits , without their problems , and , there NEVER will be
!! It's just the NATURE OF THIS FRIGG'IN BUSINESS . Everywhere in the trucking world , there's someone PO 'D about this , or , that
!!!! I'm Frigg'in Frustrated Myself, for spending ALL this time trying to find,.... "THE BEST OF THE WORST" ,.. and at this moment , I have applications out to ,..."GTI" , "JB HUNT", "SCHNEIDER" , "WERNER", "ANDERSON" , & a Couple others ,...... but NOT SWIFT ,.... and screw it ,..... there's something wrong with ALL of them!!
Just do a "google" search . What's bad for one guy , may be the " CATS ### " to another guy !....... Ya know ,...whichever SOB , calls me first , with a "Good Dedicated" , or even ,... possibly , a Nice "Sounding" "Regional" , with "decent" home time , I'm just gonna have to throw the "Frigg'in Dice" on the situation , and "COWBOY-UP" !! I'm just tired of all the BS !!
, and just have to realize , like many of the other folks , out their too,..
that perfection is "non existent" , with "ALL" Trucking jobs .......... Some folks,....Bottom Line ,....ARE NOT MEANT FOR THE "ROAD" , AND "NO" JOB TRUCK'IN WILL PLEASE 'EM !!!!!

If SNL is so great, why does the company have 50 students every week starting their training program? Not only in Fontana but in other SNL facilities as well. The reason? They lie. I drove OTR for 4 months. Made an average of 320.00 per week. Then in French Camp, I saw in the open positions folder, a dedicated account for Sears out of their Delano location. The posting stated that it was engineered pay. 750 per week. well the day I was hired for that position, was the day that they decided to change their pay policy re; dedicated accounts. guess what, i was making only 500 per week, minus 150 for otr expenses such as food etc. Then a family emergency came up, i was home for 36 days, they fired me. I like driving, I just feel that after 8 months of 70 hour weeks, a few lay overs, a very dirty truck that was in the shop often that they could have found a way to keep me on.
I was just a number to them. -

I guess it depends on a lot of different things...attitude being one of them.
I havent heard of too many complaints on miles with Schneider. Granted, they are slowing down, but I can't figure how you settle with making just a tad over 300 a week when you should be getting good miles.
As far as tehir dedicated gigs...each and every dedication operation IS different from each other. Im on a ded run myself and before taxes, make over 700 a week. Not bad for driving 40 hours a week.
As far as the trucks, that also doesnt make sense. If the truck is broke down, they get a ding for a service failure so its their best interest to keep the trucks up and running and in the shop and fixed as soon as there is an issue. That is what happens with me. If I have an issue, I get it to the shop and hardly any questions are asked. -
Company's waste money on hiring people and the infrastructure needed to do the hiring when they can't even keep the people they have rolling, maintain their vehicles and trucks and get their drivers home on a regular basis.
It's like working for a freaking temp agency. You hire more drivers then you need and then run them when ever you get a customer request. This is why they don't want to pay by the hour or salary.
Then they say there is a driver shortage. Wrong, there is a shortage of drivers willing to sit around in truck stops and docks with their trucks shut off roasting in the heat or freezing in the cold waiting for the call to go to work whenever the company sees fit because they only have to pay for the miles the driver runs and even short the driver on that as well.
The fact is that they have to lie to recruits to get them to hire on, because if they told the truth, a sane person would probably not work there unless they had no other choice.
OTR company's have to screw half their drivers on any given day because they are so inefficient they have no choice. It seems to be cheaper for them to keep stealing drivers from each other instead of improving working conditions for the ones they already have. -
Ya need six months to a year for a lot of the dedicated runs, they are not going to volunteer that information unless you address it directly.

I was hired as a total noob, no driving experience whatsoever with a big truck. Dedicated run. -
Turbo is seems however has nothing positive to say about Swift. Or should I say much negative to say about Swift.
There are positive and negative stories that abound in this business. No company is perfect or all bad.
We just deal with it and move on. -
I have not heard of any company where some drivers do not complain about not enougfh miles - those same companies also have drivers who get plenty.
Who knows.... -
I have yet to see any rule or policy that is adhered too 100% by any company, there will always be a loophole or exception, perhaps due to need, or some other thing, I am fully aware that I am far from 100% correct in more than one case.
