Here's a little bit more truth. We work in an industry with many people with ultra religious beliefs and ultra conservative beliefs. I say that because it's important, and also, a giant joke. Why is it a joke? Let me explain. Many drivers talk a good game. But have that other "game" going. The old "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality. Not all, mind you, but quite a bit. I am the direct opposite of those beliefs. Yet, things are stable for me. Because I "walk their talk". You cannot claim to be high and mighty when you're as dirty as the day is long. And that, my fine judeo-christian conservative friends is how you keep your loved ones and family. Walk your own talk. It's not difficult to say no to the "temptations" of the road. I still haven't found these temptations, unless you're talking the 72 ounce steak challenge in Amarillo. The reasons for broken homes is because, well, duh, someone broke them. Send money home. It's the reason you're out here working. Put family first. Not you. Don't try to nail every piece of tail you see. If you're married or in a relationship, you already know that's not what you're supposed to do. The easiest stuff that should come natural to people in this industry because of their touted belief systems and somehow they just can't get it right!!!!
Take a good look at the old hands out here before they're all gone. They live by a code. Maybe you should too.

I think I'll stay single. It sounds like less work. -

Hey, a fellow Albertan!
I'm not down on marriage at all, a good marriage is a great gig. But for me, I've been single for 10 plus years now and not a day goes by that I don't have to pinch myself. I can't imagine ever getting hitched again. -
its not that I WANT to be single, its more that I WILL be (and not by choice)

Jabber, my comment was directed to Joseph, not your situation.
Since your responded, I'll urge you again to go see somebody. From your dismal posts, it sounds like you are going to live a tormented, dismal life; or maybe even kill yourself.
Get some help; maybe counselling, and/or some medications. I've watched someone close to me go from being dismal and hopeless like yourself, turn into an optimist who is excited about life. The difference was a daily pill. Life can be great, but you only get one go around.
Good luck Jabber.Big Don Thanks this. -
I want to know where all this "tail" is joseph thinks everyone is chasing
-
I'd like to know too, because some of the women I see out here are, uh, well, to put it lightly, if you're on top, you'll burn your arse on the ceiling light..........
